How much does Burning Man cost the first time
Other people's budgets. Not a number we made up.
A first burn does not have one official price. Ticket tiers are on the tickets page, with the reference year labeled there. The totals below are third-party estimates.
Three published estimates
| Pixidia | About $1,655 minimal, $3,240 mid, and $7,140 or more for comfort. 2026 (for reference). That guide is a 2026 snapshot. Pixidia |
|---|---|
| Tripping in the Tropics | An average of about $2,540. Tripping in the Tropics |
| BurningManTV | A range of $2,000–$4,000 or more. BurningManTV |
| BBC | Real people talking through what they spent. We are not pulling a fresh total out of that story. BBC Worklife |
On playa, Pixidia says only ice and coffee are sold. The ice price is TBD — check the Survival Guide. Pixidia
Camp dues show up inside those estimates. We are not publishing a dues range of our own. Ask the camp, and read the same three sources. Pixidia Tripping in the Tropics BBC Worklife
Shelter is the swing
A tent and an RV are not the same week, and neither one has a rental rate on this page. The mistakes, and the booking clock, are RV for your first burn. Flying the bulky pieces instead of checking them is Amazon to Reno.
